Is it really true that Recipients can't see who creates a Gift Ideas list for them?

Very true! It's completely anonymous.

When a Recipient enters a Recipient's View of a Discussion, the only things he sees are the Gift Ideas List, Like / Dislike buttons and the comment field.

How do you send a Recipient an anonymous invitation to see a Gift Ideas list? 

Recipient automatically receives an invitation to Discussion (but he sees only a limited edition of Discussion).
