Finding the perfect gift can be hard. Our team believes that people often lose their confidence when it's time to choose the right gift. They don't go out on a limb and take an active role in giving awesome gifts. As a result, gift Recipients worldwide end up sad, with closets full of boring and unwanted gifts.

Why ActiveGift?

There are plenty of services, wishlists mostly, where gift giving turns into a passive chore of checking off lists. Sure, recipients gets what they say they want, but nobody likes being held hostage by a wishlist.
And sometimes wishlists contain things that can't be bought by a gift giver, for a number of reasons. 

Where's the fun in that?

Using ActiveGift, the Gift Giver finally gets to flex his creative muscles! And it happens thanks to a simple-to-use tool that helps him verify each and every Gift Idea. 

It's easy. The Giver just puts together a list of anything he would like to give and sends that list to a Recipient. We call it the Gift Ideas List, neat right! 
And here's what the Recipient sees. 

With ActiveGift, Givers play a fun and active role in gifting and Recipients get stuff they never knew they wanted.

When was ActiveGift founded?

ActiveGift's co-founders Max Krylov and Artem Sukhoroslov met in 2011 in Kiev, Ukraine. 

By that time, Artem had already graduated from the GrowthUP incubator program and had begun building his team and getting the company off the ground.

Meanwhile Max participated several startups as a co-founder & CTO.

During our "bootstrap mode" a few early iterations and pivots were made mainly for business model validation. We started on our very first version of ActiveGift in April 2011 and launched at the Investor Day of Central and Eastern Europe event in October 2011.

We're funded by startup accelerator EastLabs, which is backed by EastOne.

Where ActiveGift team is located?

Our team is pretty international. Or "working in the world's jurisdiction," as we like to say.

Our team-members are located in Europe, Asia and the United States but the core of our business is in the Big Apple.

What's ActiveGift built on from a technology point of view?

We've chosen a core technology that's a bit conservative but still very powerful.
